Meet In Memory of Larry Hable

Mr. Larry Hable, the founder of Sonik Hearing Care Services, passed away peacefully in March 2022. Larry was a board-certified hearing aid dispenser who dedicated 60 years of his life to helping people with their hearing. A native Minnesotan, Larry began his career in Minneapolis at Maico Hearing Instruments on July 1, 1959. He later transferred to the Chicago area, and began working at what was then Charles A. Lowe & Associates at 8 S. Michigan Ave. He served on the Board of Directors of the American Hearing Research Foundation for more than 20 years. Larry provided hearing services at the current Sonik clinic location for 55 years and undoubtedly changed hundreds of lives along the way. He was a doting husband, loving father of two daughters, and proud grandfather of two grandchildren. He was very special to his patients and co-workers. Larry’s unyielding commitment to helping his patients was remarkable and never-ending. We will always remember his positive attitude, boundless energy, and kind smile. We miss you, Larry!
